1979 A small prayer group (volunteers) started meeting in Wolverley
1980 KEMP House Trust formed
1981 KEMP registered with the Charity Commissioners
1987 Macmillan nurses are appointed at KEMP. Our volunteers are allowed to work with local families
1990 KEMP Hospice moves to Sutton Park Road. First nurse manager is appointed
1992 KEMP Hospice opens three days a week
1994 KEMP opens four days per week, Day Care leader appointed
1996 Third KEMP shop is opened. KEMP registered as a nursing home
2001 KEMP's satellite unit at Tenbury Wells opened one day a week
2002 Joint posts within the PCT in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy commenced
2003 KEMP purchases Mason Road site and begins work to convert it to a Hospice
2005 New KEMP Hospice opened by Sir Digby Jones
2006 Consultant moves to the Hospice along with the community Macmillan team as consultant in Palliative Medicine
2006 Out-patient services offered
2006 HRH The Duke of Gloucester opens the Sanctuary Garden
