- 1979 A small prayer group (volunteers) started meeting in Wolverley
- 1980 KEMP House Trust formed
- 1981 KEMP registered with the Charity Commissioners
- 1987 Macmillan nurses are appointed at KEMP. Our volunteers are allowed to work with local families
- 1990 KEMP Hospice moves to Sutton Park Road. First nurse manager is appointed
- 1992 KEMP Hospice opens three days a week
- 1994 KEMP opens four days per week, Day Care leader appointed
- 1996 Third KEMP shop is opened. KEMP registered as a nursing home
- 2002 Joint posts within the PCT in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy commenced
- 2003 KEMP purchases Mason Road site and begins work to convert it to a Hospice
- 2005 New KEMP Hospice opened by Sir Digby Jones
- 2006 Consultant moves to the Hospice along with the community Macmillan team as consultant in Palliative Medicine
- 2006 Out-patient services offered
- 2006 HRH The Duke of Gloucester opens the Sanctuary Garden
- 2010 Hospice at Home was launched
