COLLEAGUES at a Kidderminster car dealership were buffing bonnets to raise £80 ahead of their three peaks
challenge for KEMP Hospice.
CMS Vauxhall, in Churchfields, hosted a charity car wash on Saturday and will take on the gruelling climbs in August.
They will trek up the three highest peaks in the UK – Scafell Pike, in England, Snowdon, in Wales and Ben Nevis, in Scotland.
The team comprises marketing director, Luke Mezzone, workshop manager, Mike Fellows and technicians Ben Webb, Steve Hale and Darren Goodall.
Warranty manager Maurice Hough has volunteered to drive them from peak to peak.
Mr Mezzone said: “We chose the three peaks as it is a real physical challenge where we will have to push ourselves to the limit. We chose KEMP Hospice because it is a local charity that can make a real difference with the good work they do in the local area.”
He added: “We all feel excited about the challenge and can’t wait to get up there and give it a go. Although we know how tough it will be, so at the same time there is a slight bit of nervousness in the camp but we are planning a few practice walks to prepare as best we can.
“We have already started some training with running and several hours in the gym which is set to continue up till the date.”
