Clinical Care

A patient’s well being is monitored each visit and they are encouraged towards self-help, regaining confidence and maintaining independence.

Nursing care is given as necessary eg: renewal of dressings, venepuncture andadvice on symptom control. Guidance on financial matters is also available.

Clinical staff will contact a patient’s GP, Macmillan nurse or District Nurse as required. The patient’s relatives or carers are encouraged to attend the initial assessment and/or first full day in Day Hospice.
