Caroline Beech

Head of Finance

Biography

WHAT DO YOU DO AT KEMP?

As Head of Finance my role is to manage the charity’s finances, making sure that our resources are being used to further KEMP’s aims.

WHY DID YOU START WORKING/VOLUNTEERING AT KEMP?

I began working at KEMP in November 2011 as a Finance Assistant. I remember my first visit to the Hospice and the welcoming atmosphere. In 2015 I was appointed Head of Finance. I am very happy that I have been fortunate enough to progress my career whilst at KEMP.

WHY DO YOU THINK KEMP IS SPECIAL?

The people! Staff, volunteers, patients, clients, the community of the Wyre Forest.

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF WORKING AT KEMP?

I have worked in a finance role for over 20 (!) years in different industries. KEMP is the only charity I have worked for and although I don’t provide clinical or therapeutic care, in some way the work I do is important as it is beneficial to providing the support that people need in their most difficult times.

WHAT DIFFERENCE DO YOU THINK KEMP MAKES TO THE COMMUNITY OF THE WYRE FOREST?

I think KEMP is a vital part of the community through; the range of services we offer, free of charge; the supportive and welcoming groups where people can share experiences; the volunteering opportunities that give so much to KEMP but also to the people who volunteer for us!
