WHAT DO YOU DO AT KEMP?
I am a complementary therapist and I also support in Day hospice, out patient clinics, home visits and I volunteer in day hospice.
WHY DID YOU START WORKING / VOLUNTEERING AT KEMP?
During my training in full time college, I was asked if I would think about spending time at KEMP Hospice. My training when I qualified was always going to be clinical so I said yes to KEMP.
WHY DO YOU THINK KEMP IS SPECIAL?
KEMP is special because patient care is amazing. KEMP has a team of professional and caring staff, always on hand to support in all areas of patient needs. There is always something going on at KEMP with entertainment, creative workshops, fantastic chef, lovely gardens, chaplain always on hand, complementary therapy, hairdressing; it just goes on and on. We have very happy patients.
WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF WORKING AT KEMP?
I feel very lucky to be part of such a lovely environment. The rewards I get from massage touch is so important, emotional support is also very important. I love KEMP to me it is belonging to a family of wonderful caring people. I can’t imagine not working for KEMP.
WHAT DIFFERENCE DO YOU THINK KEMP MAKES TO THE COMMUNITY OF THE WYRE FOREST?
KEMP makes a big difference to the community of the Wyre Forest. I meet so many people in the community, KEMP means the world to them.
