Art Exhibition and Sale of Watercolours

An octogenarian Upper Arley artist hopes to realise a three year dream next month by exhibiting eighty of his watercolours to raise funds for local charity, KEMP Hospice.

Retired architect and university tutor, Dr Norman Berisford, aged 84 has made his Arley studio his work centre for the paintings to be hung at Kidderminster Library Gallery for three weeks from 5th April.  Most will be offered for sale at prices ranging from £30 to £60.

Dr Berisford commented, “I have strong family reasons for wanting to support KEMP Hospice, not least because of the love, compassion and care that seemed to be given so easily when I had an elderly relative there.  The standard of attention was eye-wateringly dedicated, and I decided three years ago to do what I could.”

The watercolours are in a variety of styles and subject, principally of a topographical nature together, with interiors, still lifes, architectural studies, portraits and flowers.
