Our creative activities help patients improve psychological wellbeing and give a sense of achievement and accomplishment. Many friendships are formed during our sessions too.
Activities call for focus, giving patients a welcome distraction from their illness and worries, and another way to express their feelings. And everyone can get involved with extra support on hand to help patients with physical limitations.
Benefits of Creative Arts
Creative arts often open the door to discussions on wider illness-related subjects, yet there is no pressure. While some patients discover their creative skills, others simply enjoy taking part; some like to join in the conversation, others prefer to listen. Because many activities take place as group sessions, there is a sense of community, a safe place to share experiences and always plenty of laughter.
