Get together and give together to support KEMP Hospice

KEMP Hospice has teamed up with 16 other hospices from around the country to offer a brand new way for you to get involved and support hospice care in the Wyre Forest.

‘The Big Get Together’ is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for local hospice care, by coming together with friends and family to have some fun. You can choose to do something like your own fundraising event, or simply just do an activity that you would normally do in your day-to-day life with friends and family, but ask for donations from anyone who wishes to attend.

The possibilities are endless, which is what makes it so simple and easy as it is accessible to everyone. From a family barbeque, or an evening of cocktails and canapés, to a coffee morning with friends, a pamper party, dinner party or even a Halloween party.  Just invite some people round, have some fun and hopefully raise some money for KEMP while you’re at it.




  • Why should I hold my own Get Together for KEMP Hospice?

The simple answer? What better excuse to spend quality time with your nearest and dearest, than to be helping raise funds for hospice care in your local area? Plus it’s completely free to register!

There could be many reasons why you would want to hold your own Big Get Together. It could be the perfect way to celebrate the life of someone special, or a special date, in a way that is fitting to celebrate their life, whilst enjoying the company of friends and family. Or maybe you’re the type of person who just likes to help those in need in your local community whenever you can. Whatever your reason, you and your guests will be helping so many people in the Wyre Forest at what is quite possibly their greatest time of need.


  • I’m interested, so what do I do next?

Getting started couldn’t be any simpler. Just head over to the KEMP Hospice page on the Big Get Together website, click ‘Sign up’, fill in some details and you can be registered for your own Get Together in just minutes. You don’t even have to set a date for your event yet, just let us know that and any other details at a later date. And as TBGT is running from August to December 31st, you can easily make your annual Halloween or Christmas party a chance to raise some money for KEMP Hospice.


  • How do I go about inviting people and collecting donations?

This is easy too! When you sign up for the ‘Big Get Together’ you’ll get lots of support all the way. To start we’ll send you a fundraising pack with lots of ideas for your Get Together, plus a branded collection money box, template invitations, posters and bunting and lots more. We will help to make organising your day/night as easy as possible, so you just have to concentrate on having fun.

  • Will all the money I raise go to KEMP?

Every penny you raise from your Big Get Together will go straight to KEMP Hospice and to help people dealing with life limiting illness or bereavement in the Wyre Forest. Should you wish to start raising money straight away, you can do so on Just Giving but this does incur a small charge. However, it can be a quick and easy way for friends and family to donate to your occasion even if they can’t make the day/night themselves.

All that’s left to do is have a think about what social occasion you would like to host or take part in, sign up for your FREE pack and to register your event and get planning for how you can offer the best hospice-tality to your guests and raise as much as you can for KEMP Hospice.
