One of the most important things for us at KEMP is ensuring all our patients, clients, volunteers and visitors have an uplifting time when they’re here with us. That’s true all year round, but at Christmas, we love to bring some festive sprit to the Hospice.
One of the most important things for us at KEMP is ensuring all our patients, clients, volunteers and visitors have an uplifting time when they’re here with us. That’s true all year round, but at Christmas, we love to bring some festive sprit to the Hospice.
This year, B&Q Kidderminster have gone above and beyond to make sure that happened, by donating several festive items such as Christmas trees, decorations, and lights that we could display around the hospice.
B&Q show continued support to KEMP Hospice
B&Q Kidderminster have been supporting KEMP for a number of years, as Store manager Martin Woodhouse explains “We have worked with KEMP Hospice for some years now with their Christmas tree recycling project, so I asked if there was more we could do to help”.
And help they certainly did, as Sanchia Evans, Family & Patient Support Services Manager at KEMP Hospice explains. “Along with the decorations they have donated, the B&Q team have also transformed our Children and Young Person Bereavement Counselling Room into a warm, comfortable and inviting room, that will give the children and young people we support, a welcoming and safe space to talk openly and honestly. We really are so grateful for everything they’ve done.”
Martin continued “At B&Q we all try and help out in our local communities so myself and the team were more than happy to roll up our sleeves and help transform the family unit for such a deserving cause. We hope that that we have made a little impact in lots of people’s lives”.
KEMP Christmas tree collection & recycling event
The support from B&Q doesn’t stop there though, as once again they’re supporting our Christmas Tree Collection & Recycling event by handing out leaflets, displaying our banners and this year, putting tags on the Christmas trees to help highlight the event to those who made a purchase this festive season.
We continue to be so grateful to the whole team at B&Q Kidderminster for their continued support and dedication to KEMP Hospice. We are truly thankful for all they’ve done for us this year and look forward to hopefully continuing to do so for many years to come.
