There have been some amazing and generous community fundraising activities throughout April. Take a look and find out more.
Community Fundraising April 2024
We are so grateful for all the amazing support and donations we receive from our Wyre Forest community! Here’s an April round up of some of the fantastic things that have taken place during April 2024!
Bewdley Farm Shop
Following on from the Farm Shop burglary just before Christmas in which a KEMP collection tin was stolen and damage was done to the property, a GoFundMe was set up by Billy Burchfield, from Summerdyne Nursing Home, to raise money to replace the farm shop’s stained-glass window. Tony at Bewdley Farm Shop very kindly requested that this money was donated to KEMP. They raised £350 in total! Pictured with Tony and Albie, Billy’s son.
Monosol AF Ltd
MonoSol AF LTD is a Kidderminster based company who raised £267.64 by hosting a coffee morning and raffle with proceeds going towards KEMP. They support several local charities, so we are honoured they have chosen to support us too!
Bewdley School – Severn House
Butterfly’s at Bewdley School – KEMP Hospice is Severn’s House chosen charity of the year and we are really pleased that they are supporting our ‘Butterflies for KEMP’ campaign.
They are selling these as part of their other fundraising activities, and they have even created a card to display the butterflies on. We think they look fantastic!
Kidderminster Church Street Surgery
Thank you to Kidderminster Church Street Surgery who raised £156.19 from their Easter fundraiser event ‘Easter Bake Off’. Karen and the team are such a friendly and supportive team so it’s such a delight that they chose to raise money for us!
Stourport Chunky Monkey’s
A big thank you to ‘Stourport Chunky Monkey’s‘ who raised £400 by celebrating ‘Acker Dorrell’s Day’. This was all in memory of Alec Dorrell, on the 1st anniversary of his funeral.
Pictured is Alec’s son Steve and family friend Andy.
Marks & Spencer Kidderminster
Marks & Spencer Kidderminster chose to support us as their charity of year in 2023/2024. They donated an amazing £560 from their community fund in April! The fund is primarily made up of expired/waste flower and stock sales.
