Help Us Keep Donations Safe and Saleable

22nd August 2025

Help us to keep your kind donations of pre-loved items safe and saleable. Find out about donating to KEMP Hospice shops.

Donating responsibly to support KEMP Hospice

At KEMP Hospice, we’re incredibly grateful for the generous support of our community. Every donation we receive helps us raise vital funds and continue the work we do. We couldn’t do it without you — so thank you!

However, we need your help to donate responsibly and ensure your kind donations have the biggest possible impact.

We know many of you want to donate at a time that’s convenient for you — and we truly appreciate it. But when items are left outside our charity shops after hours or when we’re closed, it can cause some unexpected challenges:

  • Weather damage – Rain, wind, and damp conditions can ruin items left outside.
  • Health and safety risks – Bags on the pavement can create hazards for pedestrians and our shop teams.
  • Increased disposal costs – Unfortunately, we often have to dispose of items that become damaged or unsafe, which costs money that could otherwise go toward supporting KEMP Hospice and the free of charge services we provide.

By donating your items in during our opening hours, you’re helping us make the very most of every item you give.

We want to make donating as easy as possible for you. Here’s how you can help us keep your preloved items safe and put them to the best use to support KEMP:

Did you know, we have a dedicated Donation Centre in Kidderminster? Located on Lisle Avenue, you can book a slot to drop off your donations on a day and time to suit you.

By booking a time to visit, we can be sure to have someone available to help you as you drop off your items, and they can then be processed and delivered to one of our shops across the Wyre Forest.

If you can’t make it to our Donation Centre but would still like to support our charity shops, we can accept some donations in store. We have limited storage space in our shops so to be certain we can accept your donated items; we ask that you please call your local shop in advance to check availability.

Find details of your nearest shop including phone number and opening times.

Your donations change lives — and by dropping them off safely during opening hours, you ensure they go straight to helping people who need them most.

Thank you for your continued kindness, generosity, and support. With your help, we can make every single donation count.
