KEMP Hospice has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas following a CQC Inspection.
We are very proud to announce that KEMP Hospice has received a ‘Good’ rating in all areas following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The report, published on 16 February 2026, highlighted overwhelmingly positive feedback from patients following a comprehensive on-site assessment at our hospice in Kidderminster.
Caroline Beech, Chief Executive at KEMP Hospice, said: “Everyone at KEMP works incredibly hard to provide the very best care and support for our patients and clients, and we are delighted to have received a ‘Good’ outcome from the Care Quality Commission. It is especially encouraging that feedback from local patients and families recognised the kindness, dignity and empathy shown by our staff and volunteers every day.”
‘Caring and compassionate staff’
The inspection, carried out in November 2025, found that patients consistently described staff as caring and compassionate. Inspectors noted that the hospice delivered a caring and responsive service that supported people’s independence and promoted their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
Caroline continues “As the local hospice charity for Wyre Forest, this recognition means a great deal to us, and we remain committed to continuous improvement in delivering safe, personalised and high-quality care for our local community.”
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England, working with the public, care providers and local systems to protect people and improve the quality of care.
KEMP Hospice provides care and support to people across the Wyre Forest affected by life-limiting illness or bereavement. All services including our Day Hospice care, counselling and emotional support and welfare and financial advice are provided free of charge.
