KEMP Hospice Joins National ‘This is Hospice Care’ Campaign

17th February 2025

We’re joining over 140 hospices across the UK to be a part of a national campaign to help raise awareness of Hospice Care.

We are proud to announce that KEMP Hospice is taking part in the national ‘This is Hospice Care’ campaign, an initiative led by Hospice UK. As one of over 143 hospices involved, we are joining forces to raise awareness about the essential role hospices play in communities and to reshape public perceptions of hospice care.

  • Launch Date: Monday, 17th February 2025
  • Purpose: To highlight the vital contribution of hospices and encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their Will to support local hospice services.

Hospices like KEMP provide compassionate care to individuals and families during the most challenging times. However, as a charity, we rely on public generosity to continue offering these vital services free of charge.

  • Ensure hospice care remains available for future generations.
  • Help sustain vital services for those who need them most.
  • Make a lasting difference to your local community.

If you’d like to read more about the support we provide at KEMP Hospice, take a look at our hospice stories. Here, KEMP patients and clients share their experience and how the support they’ve received has helped them. It’s thanks to the amazing supporters that help to raise vital funds each year, that we can continue to be there for people when they need us.

An important part of the campaign is a national TV advert to raise awareness of hospices and the vital role they play in local communities across the UK. This powerful video really shines a light on hospice care and how you can help it live on for all, for now, forever:

This is Hospice Care. Help it Live on for all, for now, forever.

Caroline Beech, Chief Executive of KEMP Hospice, shares her thoughts on KEMP Hospice being a part of this significant campaign:

“We’re thrilled to be part of this important initiative, highlighting the critical work hospices do in our communities. KEMP Hospice has been providing care and support across the Wyre Forest for over 55 years. We never charge for our care, but as a charity, we rely on donations to ensure we can continue to be there for people when they need us.

This national campaign is a wonderful opportunity for us to join hospices across the UK with one simple message: By considering leaving a gift in your Will, you can help hospice care live on for all, for now, forever. This relatively simple act can and will help us continue our vital work, and we will be truly grateful to anyone who can.”

There are many ways you can show your support for KEMP Hospice, including:

  • Leaving a gift in your Will to ensure continued hospice care.
  • Making a donation to KEMP to help us continue to provide free specialist services.
  • Spreading the word about this campaign to help raise awareness. Take a look at our Facebook page to see the latest posts, or share the video above.
