Donating to KEMP Hospice Shops

KEMP Hospice has six shops across the Wyre Forest selling a wide range of quality donated items. To find out how to make a donation of items to KEMP Hospice take a look below:

Donating your pre-loved and unwanted items to KEMP Hospice Charity Shops

By donating your pre-loved and unwanted items to KEMP Hospice, you will be helping to ensure our continued care and support to residents across the Wyre Forest.

We never charge for our care, so every penny raised from the sale of your donated goods, allows us to continue to be there for our patients when they need us.

Thank you from all of us at KEMP Hospice for your continued support.

You’ll be greeted by a member of staff who will provide further instructions for dropping your donations. At this time we are only able to accept a maximum of 6 boxes or bags.

We are grateful for your support, but you would really be helping by only donating anything you’d be happy to buy in one of our shops.

At this time we are only able to accept a maximum of 6 bin bags, or equivalent sized boxes per donation slot. If you have more you would like to donate, please book two or more consecutive slots.

Your Pre-Loved items and KEMP Hospice – A guide to your donations

We’re incredibly grateful for every donation we receive, and the generosity of our supporters makes a real difference to our work. To help us make the most of your kindness, we politely ask that donated items are clean, undamaged and complete.

Sadly, some items, such as dirty, broken or incomplete items, can’t be sold or recycled, and disposing of them costs charities like ours a significant amount each year. By checking donations before bringing them in, you’re helping us save valuable time and money – so more can go directly towards supporting our cause.

While we’re grateful for every offer of support, there are some items we’re unable to accept due to health, safety, hygiene and legal requirements. Please take a moment to check the list below before donating, to make sure your items are suitable.

If you need further information please telephone 01562 756026 or email warehouse@kemphospice.org.uk.

Help your Donation go even further by Registering for Gift Aid

If you’re a UK Tax payer and eligible to register for Gift Aid, we can claim an additional 25p from the HMRC for every £1 donated. If you are making a donation of items to our shops and you are registered for Gift Aid, we can claim an additional 25p per £1 on the value of the sale. This means every £1 is worth £1.25 to KEMP Hospice at no additional cost to you.

Please ask a member of our shop teams or email our retail team at retail@kemphospice.org.uk for more information or to register for Gift Aid. Please note, if you have previously made a Gift Aid eligible cash donation directly to the Hospice, you will also need to register with our retail department to allow us to claim Gift Aid on the income raised from any items you donate.

Donated items which have a numbered barcode on the price tag are being sold under the Gift Aid Scheme. KEMP Hospice is acting as an agent selling those goods on behalf of Gift Aid Donors.
