Family Support Administrator
What do you do at KEMP?
I am the Family Support Team's administrator.
It's a really varied role and every day Is different. It's very satisfying as you are right in the middle of where the support is going on. My main roles Include being a first point of contact on the bereavement hub line, inputting information onto the database, producing letters, taking minutes of meetings and making appointments with clients and giving general admin support to the team of 7.
Why did you start working/volunteering at KEMP?
Because I've seen and heard first-hand what a life changing difference they can make, whether it's through Day Hospice sessions or through counselling or support through groups, forward thinking and embracing values and I wanted to be part of something positive.
Why do you think KEMP Is special?
Not sure there are many places where you would find such an amazing group of volunteers. Everyone who is here really cares and wants to be here.
What do you get out of working at KEMP?
I am constantly learning and I definitely get a sense of satisfaction.
I love being part of a team that are supporting those most in need.
What difference do you think KEMP makes to the community of the Wyre Forest?
A big, big difference. Even If members of the community are not receiving support they know that there Is a place to go to when needed.
