Welfare & Financial Advice
Finance and Welfare Advice is available to anyone who accesses support from KEMP.
Our Advisor, Anne Rendell helps in many areas, including practical advice, information and representation, as needed for many situations, for example:
- Bereavement issues, such as funerals and probate
- Practical concerns about family and other relationship problems.
- Help with charitable applications
Anne can see patients, carers and close family members when appropriate, either at home or at the Hospice. Alternatively, advice can be given over the telephone.
The service is designed to be flexible to accommodate individual needs.
Anne explains why she loves the work that she does:
“It's a great privilege being part of the KEMP team and being able to offer free legal advice as it can give people some element of control.
It can be a great comfort for those that use our services, helping to relieve some of the many pressures that they may face while going through the toughest of times, as well as providing their loved ones with a degree of 'peace of mind'.
If we, at KEMP Hospice can help take away some of the stress and pressures that they may encounter it is one less thing that they have to worry about. It gives them the freedom to focus on other aspects of their life such as their care and their families.
I love being in the position to help people to access the appropriate support when they need it the most. The benefits system alone can be very confusing at the best of times.”
