Volunteers’ Week 2025 – Celebrating Our Volunteers – And Why You Should Join Them

23rd May 2025

As we look forward to celebrating Volunteers’ Week (2 – 8 June 2025), we thought it would be a great opportunity to highlight some of the incredible reasons to volunteer at KEMP Hospice, and the amazing difference you could make.

Every hour you give helps us provide vital care and support to people who need it most. Whether you’re sorting shop donations, greeting customers in our retail locations across the Wyre Forest, or offering a friendly face at reception, you’re part of something truly meaningful.

From customer service and teamwork to admin or retail experience, volunteering offers a fantastic way to learn and grow – or even brush up on existing skills.

Volunteering is a brilliant way to connect with others, make friends, and be part of a supportive, caring community.

Giving your time can boost confidence, improve mental health, and bring a real sense of purpose and achievement.

When you volunteer with us, you become part of a wider mission to make a difference in our community. You’ll join a team of passionate people all working toward the same goal – helping others.

We want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to every single one of our incredible volunteers.

Whether supporting our shops, helping in our hospice, offering admin support, or giving their time in other ways – they are at the heart of everything we do.

The dedication, compassion, and generosity KEMP Volunteers show, makes a real difference to the people and families we care for.

Quite simply, without our amazing volunteers, we couldn’t do what we do.

We’re always happy to hear from new volunteers across all areas of our charity. Right now, we especially need help in our retail shops, but there are also opportunities in our hospice, offices, and more.

Don’t have time to volunteer regularly, but still want to help? We have a number of fundraising events throughout the year that we couldn’t run without the support of volunteers. If you could help by volunteering ad hoc at an event, we’d love to hear from you!

Take a look at the information on our website, send us your details via the form and a member of our People Team will be in touch.

    Happy Volunteers’ Week!
