Help Reopen Spennells KEMP Charity Shop. Could you volunteer to support KEMP Hospice?
Help Reopen Spennells Charity Shop: Volunteers Needed to Support KEMP Hospice
As you may have seen on our Facebook page, we’ve had to take the difficult decision to close our Spennells charity shop on a Monday, sadly, due to a shortage of volunteers.
Could you help us to reopen by volunteering at our Spennells charity shop on a Monday?
We’re calling on local residents to lend a hand and help reopen the shop on a Monday so we can continue to serve the local community and generate much-needed income for KEMP Hospice. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to help us continue to provide essential care and support for those facing life-limiting illnesses across the Wyre Forest district.
Why Volunteer at KEMP?
Volunteering at the Spennells charity shop offers a rewarding experience for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Volunteering makes a huge difference to our hospice charity, and can also have many positive benefits to you:
- Make a Positive Impact: Every hour you spend volunteering directly contributes to the support and care KEMP Hospice provides. By giving your time, you’ll be helping to fund vital services, including specialist nursing, emotional support, and bereavement care for patients and their families.
- Gain Valuable Experience: Whether you’re a student looking to build your CV, a professional seeking to develop new skills, or someone looking for a way to stay active during retirement, volunteering offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in retail, customer service, and team collaboration.
- Meet New People: Volunteering is a great way to connect with others in your community. You’ll work alongside a friendly team of volunteers and staff, making new friends and building lasting relationships while contributing to a good cause.
- Support Your Local Community: By helping the Spennells charity shop reopen on Mondays, you’ll be supporting a local charity that many residents rely on. The shop is a hub for affordable pre-loved goods, promoting sustainability and providing a lifeline for those seeking low-cost options in today’s challenging economic climate.
