What do you do at KEMP?
I am Head of Care. I manage the Day Hospice team which includes; nursing, chaplaincy, complementary therapies, creative therapies, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, KEMP for Carers, our Advanced Care Facilitator for care homes & our catering department.
Why did you start working / volunteering at KEMP?
I worked with the hospice as a Macmillan nurse when KEMP House opened in 1992 & for many years afterwards until I left the area ln 2006. I came back to work at KEMP in September 2013 as Day Hospice Team Leader and in February 2016 I was appointed as Head of Care.
Why do you think KEMP is special?
KEMP Is a small organisation, we all know each other and there is a lot of love for KEMP In the Wyre Forest.
What do you get out of working at KEMP?
Job satisfaction, I feel very privileged to support patients & families who are going through a stressful time in their lives.
What difference do you think KEMP makes to the community of the Wyre Forest?
We receive so many thank you letters from families we have support & that says It all.
