Working hours: Part time | 22.5 hours per week | 4 days per week | 7.5hrs per day – Wed, Fri & Sat | Working hours between 8:45am and 5:30pm
Salary: £11.44 per hour

Purpose of the position
Based in the heart of the Wyre Forest, KEMP Hospice is made up of a dedicated team committed to making a difference to the lives of those living with a life limiting illness and bereavement.

We’re looking for a enthusiastic individual to provide excellent customer service, support sales initiatives, and assist in managing our vibrant shop. Main duties and responsibilities
This post will be mainly based at KEMP’s retail shop in Bewdley, however there will be regular requirement to work our KEMP shop at Warbler Place, Spennells, Kidderminster.
- Deliver high levels of customer service at all times.
- Thank all donors and offer every donor the opportunity to register for Gift Aid on stock or cash donations.
- Support the manager to deliver a well presented, full and clean shop.
- Support the manager in the delivery of in store promotions, events and changes to the shop floor layout to maximise income.
- Support the manager by accurately completing customer transactions on EPOS, end of day processes and banking.
- Support the manager in growing income, offering Lottery tickets for sale, taking part in fundraising initiatives in store and identifying high value/unusual items for eBay.
- Take all reasonable steps to reduce costs and minimise waste.
- To ensure Health & Safety policies/procedures are followed and safe working practices maintained.
- Work with all KEMP staff and volunteers to ensure the shop offers a friendly and welcoming environment to everyone.
- Support the manager with the recruitment, training and supporting volunteers.
- Undertake training and attend meetings as required.
- Fulfil mutually agreed additional duties as are deemed necessary.
- Positively promote and enhance the work of KEMP by communicating with donors and customers.
- Work flexibly across the trading week to support KEMP Retail.
