Dying Matter Awareness Week 2023

25th April 2023

Dying Matters Awareness Week is a week which shines a spotlight on opening up conversations about death and dying and encourages communities to get talking.

Dying Matters Awareness Week is an important week in our Hospice calendar each year. It’s a week which shines a spotlight on opening up conversations about death and dying and encourages communities to get talking.

This year Dying Matters Awareness Week takes place from 8th to 14th May 2023 and is a campaign which is run by Hospice UK, the national charity for hospice and end of life care. As part of Dying Matters Week, some of the KEMP team will be on hand to talk to you about finance, welfare and related documentation, a great opportunity to ask the questions you might want to ask in a safe space and comfortable environment.

Our team will be on hand, joining the KEMP Coffee Morning at Kidderminster Library as follows:

  • Thursday 11th May 2023
  • 9am to 12noon
  • Kidderminster Library – 1st Floor, Market Street, Kidderminster, DY10 1AB

It’s not easy to talk about death and dying, but it’s an important topic and one that we are passionate about at KEMP Hospice. Our team will be on hand to:

  • Help you open up a conversation about matters related to death and dying
  • Offer finance and welfare advice
  • Give you information about health and ReSPECT documentation
  • Help you talk about your legacy

The event is an informal drop-in session, however we’d be grateful if you could please register your interest to let us know if you’re thinking of visiting on the day.

If you can’t make it on the day, our team are always on hand to help you find the support you need. If you live in the Wyre Forest, find out about how you can make a referral for KEMP Services, or contact us
