Vacancy: Bank Healthcare Support Workers (KEMP for Carers)

We are currently looking to recruit Healthcare Support Workers on a bank basis to join our team at an exciting time as we launch a new respite service for carers within the Wyre Forest.

The service is being developed to support the main carer(s) of people deemed to be within their last 12 months and who don’t qualify for regular statutory funded services.

We aim to provide regular respite as well as short episodes of night sitting to give carers some much needed time to themselves and to support times of exhaustion or stress.

  • You will provide personal care such as assisting patients to the bathroom; monitoring patient’s conditions and liaising with other healthcare professionals if required.
  • Most importantly you will provide company, reassurance and high levels of friendly, compassionate communication, reflecting the high standards of care and support that KEMP is known for.
  • Excellent communication skills, approachability and generally having a compassionate and supportive nature will be essential.

This role is a real opportunity for you to shine and to directly make a significant impact on the quality of the lives of the people we support.

If you would you like to be part of a friendly and supportive team delivering excellent support to patients and their families in their own homes, then we would like to hear from you.

Based in the heart of the Wyre Forest, KEMP Hospice offers specialist care and support to patients, families and carers who are dealing with life limiting conditions and bereavement.

From symptom control, complementary therapy, relaxation classes, carer support, hairdressing through to spiritual care and bereavement counselling, KEMP aims to support our clients and patient’s individual needs. KEMP services are provided free of charge in the hospice, in the community and in the home.
