Three members of the KEMP Hospice team are taking on three ‘Worcestershire’ peaks in one day to raise funds and support local patient care.
Three members of the KEMP team are preparing to break from their everyday roles and don walking boots as they take on the Climb for KEMP – ‘Worcestershire’ Three Peaks challenge to raise vital funds for the hospice.
Participants Laura, a Nurse, Kim, an Exercise and Wellbeing Practitioner, and Linda, Day Hospice Admin, will be joining fellow supporters to conquer ‘Worcestershire’s’ three best known peaks in a single day, helping to ensure KEMP can continue providing free specialist care and support for patients and families living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as bereavement support, across the Wyre Forest community.
Taking on the Three Peaks Challenge
The Climb for KEMP – ‘Worcestershire’ Three Peaks challenge will see participants take on Malvern, Clee and Clent Hills all in one day on 5th September, following a demanding route through the county’s stunning landscapes. The challenge combines steep climbs, varied terrain and breathtaking views, creating a true test of endurance and teamwork – all while raising funds to support KEMP.
Although each member of the team has a different role within our Day Hospice, they all share the same commitment to making a difference in the lives of those they support.
Going the Extra Mile for KEMP
Laura Painter, Nurse at KEMP Hospice said “We see first-hand the difference KEMP makes to local people every day, so taking part in the Worcestershire Three Peaks challenge felt like a great way to support the charity outside of our usual roles. It will certainly be difficult, but we’re looking forward to taking it on together and raising as much as we can to help ensure KEMP can continue supporting patients and families when they need us most.”
Supporting Patients and Families Across the Wyre Forest
KEMP relies heavily on the generosity of the local community to fund its specialist services, including end-of-life care, counselling and emotional support for adults living with a life-limiting illness, as well as support for their families, carers and those who are bereaved. Events such as the Climb for KEMP – ‘Worcestershire’ Three Peaks challenge not only raise essential funds but also bring people together in support of local families facing some of life’s most difficult moments.
